The rules, made readable.
How subscriptions begin, renew, and end; what your license permits; and the responsibilities that sit on each side.
Revised May 25, 2026
These terms form the agreement for your purchase and use of the Digital Shielddigital security subscription service (the “Service”) delivered through trydigitalshield.com(the “Website”).
The company responsible for providing the Service (“Provider”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is Digital Shield LLC.
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
We may revise these Terms periodically. Updated Terms become effective 14 days after posting on the Website, unless the change is required to take effect immediately for legal or security reasons.
Digital Shieldprovides digital tools intended to enhance users' online privacy, device security, and browsing protection. Depending on your subscription tier, the Service may include access to:
- malware and threat detection utilities (Digital Shield Antivirus)
- privacy-oriented VPN connectivity (Digital Shield VPN)
- ad and tracker blocking (Digital Shield Adblock)
- encrypted password vault and autofill (Digital Shield Password Manager)
- identity monitoring, guided recovery support, and identity theft insurance (Digital Shield Identity Protection)
- encrypted cloud backup (Digital Shield Storage)
- an included in-app Dark Web Check utility for on-demand breach lookups
- licensed cybersecurity components provided through third-party partners
We manage the customer relationship, account access, and applicable licenses. Specialist applications and services may be delivered by the providers identified on the relevant product page. The Service is intended strictly for personal use and does not replace professional IT, cybersecurity, or legal advice.
A legally binding subscription agreement is formed once you complete the checkout process.
Prior to subscribing, the Terms are made available in a format that you may download or store. You can request a copy by emailing hello@trydigitalshield.com.
The Provider may offer multiple subscription options with different features. All applicable terms will be displayed at the time of purchase.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically on a recurring basis and continue until you cancel. If a fixed-term subscription is offered, it may renew for the same duration unless cancellation occurs before renewal.
Your subscription fee will be charged to your selected payment method on your billing date. The billing cycle depends on your chosen plan.
By subscribing, you authorize the Provider to:
- automatically charge your payment method,
- use alternative payment methods linked to your account if the primary one fails,
- retry failed transactions at reasonable intervals.
If payment cannot be collected and you do not update your billing information, access to the Service may be suspended.
The Provider may modify pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not apply retroactively. Promotional pricing accepted at checkout is locked in for your subscription and renews at the same rate disclosed at checkout.
Your applicable subscription fee is the price displayed to you during the purchase flow and accepted by you at checkout. You may also be offered optional add-ons or upsells (for example, additional storage, identity protection, or family seats). Add-ons are billed separately and renew on their own cycle unless cancelled before the next billing date.
You may cancel at any time through your account dashboard or by emailing support@trydigitalshield.com.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Subscription charges already processed are non-refundable, except where required by law or where our Refund Policy applies.
We may suspend or terminate your access if we determine that payments remain unpaid, your account has been used for fraudulent or harmful activity, you violate these Terms, or legal or technical requirements necessitate termination. When possible, termination becomes effective at the end of your current billing cycle.
You agree not to:
- reproduce, modify, distribute, or publicly display any portion of the Service;
- reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code;
- share credentials outside your household;
- interfere with the Service or its security mechanisms;
- use the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate third-party rights;
- circumvent technical safeguards or device limits.
Digital Shield may limit the number of devices using the Service simultaneously, as communicated in your account.
All content, tools, software modules, documentation, and materials accessed through the Service are owned by or licensed to the Provider and protected by intellectual property laws.
You receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service during your subscription. This license terminates upon violation of these Terms or upon subscription cancellation.
Some products rely on licensed software or services from identified technology partners. Their product terms and privacy notices may apply alongside these Terms. External links are provided for context; access to third-party services can also depend on their availability and supported platforms.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Provider disclaims implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Security tools cannot guarantee absolute protection against cyber threats. We strongly recommend you keep operating systems and applications up to date and follow standard security practices in addition to using the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of revenue, profits, or business opportunities, loss or corruption of data, reliance on security insights or alerts, or unauthorized account access resulting from your actions.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so the above may not apply to you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Statesand, where applicable, the laws of the State identified in the Provider's registered address (as disclosed in your welcome email). Any disputes shall be brought before the competent courts located in the Provider's state of registration.
